The main project is finally moving. My Global West suspension finally arrived this week. This area is the next big step to get the car to rolling again, which leads to an engine and a functional interior.
The mother-load of parts has arrived this week. I just finished installing the fuel tank, so now I can continue on to the reverse lights, rear valance, and finally the rear bumper. This project will finish my exterior assembly behind the rear window, leaving fuel lines and electrical, plus the cosmetics inside the trunk.
While I have been waiting for the front suspension, I have been putting smaller things together in the trunk area. As I was looking at the rear bumper guards and installing the lower brackets, I thought I should get the gas tank installed before I finish to make sure things lined up correctly. Things looked like they would need some adjusting and I wanted all the parts in place before I started doing that.
While waiting on my front suspension pieces (still), I finally bit the bullet and picked up a media blasting booth from Harbor Freight. I wish there was some place local I could rent time on a nice blasting booth, but not finding that option, I figured buying one is cheaper than paying to have every part I run across blasted. Besides, blasting parts is fun.
